What does not
Local Help (Windows .chm file)
Integrated Web Browser (MS IE)
CSS HTML Validator's "Drag and Drop" feature. (The usual "drag and drop" from one app to another works fine. Here, "Drag and Drop" refers to a deprecated feature of CSS HTML Validator left over from very early versions. Though CSS HTML Validator's "Drag and Drop" feature does not work with default settings, this is easily fixed, as described in "Extra comments".)
Automatic registration using license information copied into the clipboard fails for versions of CSS HTML Validator prior to 19.02 on Ubuntu 18.04/19.04 with Wine 4 but works with all other tested Linux distributions. This has been fixed as of CSS HTML Validator 19.02 and later. See "Extra comments" for further information.
Local Help: Use Online Help, which is identical to the Local Help. In 19.01 or later, online help will automatically be used when running under Wine.
Integrated Web Browser: Use any local web browser -- Chrome, Firefox, etc.
The deprecated CSS HTML Validator "Drag and Drop" option: Navigate to Options > Validator Engine Options > Classic. In the "Output viewer" input field, replace "notepad.exe" with "cmdlineprocessor.exe" and ensure the "Open in editor instead" check box is checked. With these changes, "Drag and Drop" output opens in a panel in the editor, and full "Drag and Drop" functionality is available.
If failure of automatic registration using license information in the clipboard is encountered, upgrade to CSS HTML Validator 19.02 or later, or use manual registration as documented online in the CSS HTML Validator FAQ.

Command Line Processor
Configuration file customization
Menu trees have not all been fully traced
The software registration failure with Ubuntu 18.04/19.04 under Wine 4 -- noted in "What does not work" -- has been fixed as of CSS HTML Validator version 19.02 and later, and has been verified to work with Wine 4 under all tested distributions.
Installation is not possible in CentOS Linux 7 due to lack of 32-bit support in CentOS Wine. The 32-bit support in Wine is needed to execute the 32-bit installer for 64-bit CSS HTML Validator.
If the deprecated features were to be eliminated, the rating of CSS HTML Validator v19.02 would be Platinum.
