Iji is an action-platformer release in 2008 by Daniel Remar.
In 2017, almost eight years after 1.6's release, Iji received an update.
New changes include new non-lethal passive weapons, faster walk speed, and a new ending.
All gameplay, menues, sound and music.
What does not
1. Music doesn't loop.
2. Sound is delayed by about 500ms even after switching to ALSA in the registry editor. Sometimes the music skips a little.
3. Framerate seemed a little low at times with high effects settings.
4. Fullscreen mode leaves the gnome panel visible and leaves large black bars on either side of the game area.
Music did not play initially before installing DirectMusic using PlayOnLinux. Afterwards the program didn't start. Installing gstreamer1.0-plugins-good:i386 fixed the issue. Before only the amd64 version was installed.
Don't use fullscreen mode.
What was not tested
Anything past Sector 7. Sector Z. Hero 3D. Null Driver.
Requires 32bit version of the gstreamer library installed for the sound to function at all.
