Runs, syncs, generally very useable. Everything works as expected with small workaround.
What does not
first run: everything works fine.
subsequent runs: crashes (without workaround)
with workaround: works fine also on subsequent runs
In the ~/.wine/drive_c/users/matthijsv/Application Data/remarkable/desktop/ directory, list all subdirectories by number of items.
Delete all .rm files in the subdirectory with the largest number of items.
When starting the client again, it flashes 'update' very briefly, and then starts normally.
I created a script to delete the .rm files, and then execute the wine program (see below).
It takes some time to re-sync the notes for this one document that you deleted.
# unclear why, but removing all (maybe >35%?) .rm files from directory with most items solves the crash issue...
wine "c:\Program Files (x86)\reMarkable\reMarkable.exe" &
What was not tested
- exactly the reason for the crash.
- reason why workaround works
