To avoid Memory Access Violation at startup, open options.ini and change the following line:
play startup video = false
What was not tested
Because of the very outdated engine this game is made on, this game is very unstable on Windows itself, and suffers from performance degradation and crash in a long gameplay. Current Wine seems to have fewer of this problem than Windows but still faces this issue. This is to be in consideration as this might be confused as a "Wine bug".
If the game starts to glitch out very quick on this game version on future Wine releases, then it might be a driver issue or Wine issue itself, but it's to be expected to be MAV and graphical flickers after some gameplay time.
I've got an MAV after more or less 1 hour of gameplay.
