Mahjong Titans Various Issues with Wine
by Craig Schulstad on Tuesday June 9th 2020, 13:34
All,

FYI, the various issues with Mahjong Titans (and the other games that accompany this game such as Chess, FreeCell, Purble Place, and so forth) are a result of an apparent incomplete support for MUI resources. If you refer to the following link, you will see posts about the discovery of this underlying issue as well as some experimental code changes that were built to provide a workaround to this issue.

forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?t=33555

At this time, these code changes have been tested against Wine development versions "5.7" through "5.10". If you wish to try out this workaround, you should be able to download the latest version of the source code, build an instance of the wine program set, apply these changes, and test out the game.

Regards,

Craig
