Battlestar Galactica Deadlock

What works

Installation:

The game installs BUT at the end of the install, I get several error messages. This is typical of GOG installers on my system.

Gameplay:

• Main Menu and Settings pages seem to work fine
• The mouse cursor is visible and uses the custom cursor for the game
• Keyboard controls work
• The cut scenes play fine
• The game plays fine (both combat and higher
• The game can be saved and restored without issue

What does not:

The intro video does not play. Out of the box wine complains about missing gstreamer plugins. Installing the good/bad/ugly plugins result in subtitles with no video. The videos are MP4. I can press escape to bypass the video and play the game.

Workarounds:

Press escape to bypass the intro video.

Hardware: Radeon RX580 with AMDGPU-PRO 17.50.

What does not

Installer generates several, apparently benign, error messages.

• Runtime Error (at 73: 1379)
• Runtime Error (at 211: 814): Out of Global Vars range
• Runtime Error (at 211: 814): Out of Global Vars range
• Invalid opcode

After clicking through the errors I can finish the install. The game appears to have installed fine.
