It is a web installer. The launcher installs after downloading the necessary files to "/home/%user%/.wine/drive_c/users/%user%/Local Settings/Application Data/Gtarcade" where originally on Windows the game directory is at "C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\GTarcade". The launcher also puts on a hidden folder in "C:\GTarcade" to download game data in Windows.
What does not
The launcher updater has no text in it. And part of it shows tear (tear in the background).
After the updater bar finishes, it gets to a new window and gets stuck, it says:
= We are trying to connect for you =
= please be patient... =
= Connecting... =
Usually after this part, login and password text boxes are shown to put credentials and login. It seems it can't connect to the internet or something. Mind you that this launcher is different than the installer.
I have tried to follow a tutorial on how to install Battle.net (which is a CEF launcher too), I installed Winetricks and Winbind. From Winetricks I installed MS Fonts, Visual C++ 2015 and Internet Explorer 8.
What was not tested
I did not try to install DirectX 9 yet. I figured it could be an internet problem because I can't get passed the connecting part. And if it weren't an internet problem, I would get to the login screen but showing some artifacts or etc problems.
The reason why I used Wine-staging is because many users at many forums suggested it, because CEF's problems are mostly fixed in Wine-staging.
