What works

When using a 32-bit wine archive and a few pre-installs (see below, workarounds section), the software runs fine with all major tasks.

Maybe it runs a little slow in some reactions but runs without crashes.

Working features tested so far:

  • Importing suitable video and audio files
  • Creating timelines
  • Creating menus
  • Testing project
  • Transcoding files
  • Encoding disc to .iso-Image

Not yet tested all features, but main features (most critical ones) running fine

What does not

Installation will not work without workaround as mentioned below

Workarounds

Before installing in a win32-archive you will need to install these things using winetricks: msxml3 msxml6 vcrun6 ie6 corefonts

Recommended to enable importing of MOV videos:
winetricks quicktime76

What was not tested

Encoding flash as not needed for my purposes

Hardware tested

Graphics:

  • GPU: Nvidia
  • Driver: proprietary
