Workarounds

To fix the issue that units and buildings are invisible install dxvk in your wineprefix. I used dxvk 1.4.4.

What was not tested

• Installing Mods
• Multiplayer
• Watching Mixer Streams
• Higher resolutions than 1080p with graphics DLC.

Additional Comments

How To:

Install Steam in a new 64bit wine Prefix:

Install the game there like you would in Windows, after it is installed close Steam.

Remove the installed vcrun2017 with:

Install vcrun2017 again with a current release of winetricks:

Set Windows Version to Windows 10:

Get dxvk and install it into your wineprefix with:

Now you can start the game.

A Message saying that a vcrun assertion failed will appear, click on ignore.

After that your mouse cursor changes and a wine Window will appear telling you that BattleServices.exe won't work, just ignore this window and do nothing with it.

It won't affect the game (except maybe multiplayer but that's untested by me).

The Loading Screens might stutter and freeze, however gameplay is pretty smooth.
