What works
As near as I can tell the game seems to be working fine after you overcome the install hurdles.
What does not
The CD (at least with my distro) simply is not recognized or more specifically blank. You can't browse any of the folders.
My fix was to unmount and to remount the install cd manually and that worked (go figure...)
eg
That then allowed me to browse the files. Next problem was that install screen comes up...but nothing is clickable. That's ok because the core setup.exe file does the work elsewhere and you load that directly. eg wine /media/cdrom0/_setup/setup.exe
This installs the game and when I put in disk 2 and run the start menu shortcut..everything seems to work. This is a big change from before as while with some hacking I could install the game in the past, I could not run it, so I think this is because the latest version of Wine has overcome the Securom that RT3 was using. What a pain :P
Workarounds
What was not tested
I did not have sound enabled on my system so this was not tested.
