Railroad Tycoon 3

What works

Video and Sound works. Game is playable. Speed slightly slower than using native windows.

What does not

Installer doesn't always work. Sometimes you get to the end of the install and it just stops. Found if you canceled the install and started over it got through. (Check Yes for Direct X)

The current highlighted item in the RRT3 settings is a black rectangle. In game buttons and the global map have issues. It appears to be due to lack of transparency/shader effects. Water looks very plain. Again shader effects missing.

Screen sizes are not consistent. I have it set to 1024x768 as my resolution. Opening screen is the menu and it's at 1024x768. If you go to a campaign, the lobby is 640x480, but when you go to the game, it goes back to 1024x768. It still works fine though.

Minor sound issues. Could just be my computer is slow since it's a 1Ghz machine.

Network games do not work. Just gives an error message.

Had 1 crash while testing.

I couldn't get it to run unless I opened up a terminal and went to my .wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Railroad\ Tycoon\ 3/ directory and ran wine RT3.exe otherwise I just got a dialog with an ok button. I am running using a virtual desktop (found in winecfg) set at 1024x768. Had to install 1.05 patch then the nocd patch.

The Full version is not yet working in case of an aspi-error regarding to missing registry entries in winereg.
