What works

Installs and runs.  Music playing, search, and playlist management features work.

What does not

The top of the window seems to be cut off, which includes the top half of the back and forward buttons, as well as the search bar.  This could be an artifact of the application's titlebar design, when conflicting with the window manager's own titlebar.  There also seems to be some delay in mouse-over highlighting, but clicking on items work without problem.

Additionally installation can be tricky, as Spotify requires a normal user account, as opposed to the Administrator account that Wine operates by default.

Workarounds

The installation problem can be circumvented by using the "runas" program through wine-staging, with the following line:

wine runas /trustlevel:0x20000 "Z:\path\to\SpotifySetup.exe"

This is assuming, of course, that Wine has the Z: drive set up as the filesystem root; the filename will need to be in the form of a Windows path, as a Linux path will fail.<\p>

What was not tested

All playlists, radio stations, and general features were tested to the best of my knowledge.

Additional Comments

There are some visual glitches and issues, but they are minor, and the core functionality of the software seems to work without issue.  While the top half of the search bar and back/forward buttons are cut off, they still interact with the mouse, and the search will still operate correctly.  The titlebar buttons are completely visible.  The mouseover highlighting can be somewhat delayed or offset, but the app responds accurately to mouse clicks.
