What works

Everything seems to work except print preview. Tested browsing, highlighting, creating and deleting bookmarks, making notes, and simple and advanced search.

What does not

Going to File > Print Preview crashes the program with error message:

0029:err:commdlg:pagesetup_change_printer Can't open printer L""

wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0000002C at address 6B8EA850 (thread 0029), starting debugger...

After this crash, launching from the CheckAV2.exe launcher will fail. The program can be launched directly from the AV2.exe executable installed in the Program Files folder.

Workarounds

What was not tested

Additional Comments

AncestryView will give an error message and exit without allowing you to do anything if it can't find an .NFO file including part of the SSDI (there should be one on every CD in the set). Detection will fail unless you mount your CD or extracted image on Z: via winecfg. Ensure your mount has type "CD-ROM" under "Show Advanced."

Windows version setting was Windows 10.

The CheckAV2.exe executable on the CD will check to see if AncestryView is installed. If it isn't detected, CheckAV2 will install AncestryView. If it is detected, CheckAV2 will offer to launch AncestryView. The program can also be launched directly from drive_c/Program Files/MyFamily.com/AV2.exe.

This test was performed with a 32-bit Wine version.
