The installer appears to work properly but only after satisfying certain dependencies the installer has:
- it appears to require Internet Explorer 5.00 or greater; if IE is not installed in the .wine directory, the installer will prompt you with a Yes or No question concerning IE being installed. If you press Yes, the installer will exit. If you press No, the installer will continue and appears to complete just fine.
- the installer wants winhttp.dll; a person on the IRC channel #winehq was able to get around that by touch'ing winhttp.dll in ~/.wine/.../windows/system32
After the installer completes, if the "Launch application now" box is left checked, the widget engine will be started. Under KDE, a system tray icon appears which can be right-clicked on to obtain a context menu for further operations.
What does not
Launching widgets does not work. The Welcome.widget file cannot be automatically launched after installation, and the widget engine cannot load downloaded widgets. Attempting to load a widget crashes the application.
Clicking on the "Heads Up Display" in the context menu of the system tray icon crashes the application.
What was not tested
All menu entries in the system tray icon were tested.
