Please dont post test data without patching to 1.4.2 first
Credits and Intro videos. Sound. Main menu.
What does not
Mouse cursor suffer of many lags (the mouse cursor can freeze up to 3 seconds, "lag spikes"). This make the main menu and the game unplayable. Note that the game worked fine when I started it just after the installation (I played 3 minutes).
Note: the issue above does not happen with Wine v3.0.3 (tested on Ubuntu 18.10).
What was not tested
Game after 3 minutes of gameplay.
GPU : Intel HD Graphics 4400. CPU Intel I5-3210M.
Installed from DVD, I think that the version is v1.0.x because my Quake4.exe is dated of september 2005 (I don't know where to find it, but I know that patch v1.4.2 accepted to install manually).
The installation settings I did :
Cancel the installation of Punkbuster. Do not install Direct X 9 when asked by the game.
The tricks I tried (without success) :
winecfg: change Windows 7 to XP.
winecfg: menu Staging > [ ] Enable CSMT for better graphic performance
patch game (DVD) to v1.42.
