What does not

Launcher 1.0 used to update and run the game.

  • Extensive gameplay

Hardware tested

Additional Comments

As mentioned before, there's two different launchers that are used to run the game. Launcher version 1.0 was tested and worked without issue, after installing .NET 35. I have not tested Launcher 2.0 yet, but I imagine it would work fine. When you start the game, it might be muted. All you need to do is go into sound settings in-game (you can probably figure it out.)

You can follow this neat tutorial here, created by Flexarot, or you can keep reading for a TL;DW.

  1. Create a new wine prefix using any method you prefer, we'll use "~/.dbog" as an example (winetricks, lutris, etc.)
  2. Open a terminal, run the command "WINEPREFIX=~/.dbog winetricks dotnet35" (without parentheses)
  3. Download DBOG from the offical website via torrent, extract the Installer.rar archive, open the folder with the extracted contents. I would normally rename the installer to something short like "dbog" so that it's easier to type in the terminal, so if you are doing that you would open a terminal in that folder and run the command "WINEPREFIX=~/.dbog wine dbog.exe". After this, download the 1.0 launcher from google drive.
  4. Locate the folder you installed the game into, and delete DBOGLauncher.exe
  5. Extract the DBOGLauncher.rar that you downloaded from the google drive.
  6. Drag and drop DBOGLauncher.exe from the extracted rar archive into the root of the game folder (where the old DBOGLauncher.exe that you deleted was)
  7. Run DBOGLauncher.exe, and the game should just run like normal.

Note: this tutorial is for launcher 1.0. If you want to know how to install launcher 2.0, you can watch the video by Flexarot as a reference.
