In some cases, for unknown reasons, the game launcher may not automatically start the PhysX installer after installation. That will lead to a Windows error message. In this case, open the game's wine program folder (usually "~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Uru Live") and run PhysX_Setup.exe, then try starting the game again. The same problem exists on various Linux distributions as well as on Windows.
