What works

With Version 7.x version of Windows JDK (could not get v8.xx JDK to install due to wine issue?), this software will install, run, and allow you to create a ladder logic program.  It can "run" the program virtually on your PC, but the EDU version is limited by design to not communicate to hardware.

While it runs, the interface is quite laggy, with many refreshes as it redraws its windows, and sections may be blank for bothersome amounts of time (10+ seconds is not unusual).

What does not

Mostly the issues encountered were screen refresh/update related.

Workarounds

Clicking or waiting will typically result in correct display.

What was not tested

Did not test all program structures. Could not upload to PLC hardware (which I have on-hand, but am not terribly interested in paying full price for a program that is so frustrating to use in wine).

Tested in wine 4.0.2

This older version is not in the dropdown for me to select, nor would the webform allow me to leave it blank.
Chose 5.0, as it was the oldest version I *could* select.
