What works

With Version 7.x version of Windows JDK (could not get v8.xx JDK to install due to wine issue?), this software will install, run, and allow

 you to create a ladder logic program.  It can "run" the program  virtually on your PC, but the EDU version is limited by design to not  communicate to hardware.

The interface appears to refresh itself as it draws sometimes, giving slight flicker or lag, but much better performance than it did in wine 4.

Did not test all program structures. Could not test an upload to PLC hardware (which I have on-hand, but am not terribly interested in buying).

Additional Comments

Rated as Silver, because I could find no "problems" that exist that would prevent using this program. The slight flicker as it updates and refreshes the screen when you make changes is a visual annoyance, but everything seems to operate as it should, otherwise.
