What does not

1. Game does not start after the installation.

2. FPS in planetary battles is extremely low, not playable at all.

Workarounds

1. To make the first successful launch of the game, run it with environment variables:

LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8 LC_ALL=ru_RU.UTF-8

It is necessary for the first successful launch of English version of the game too.

It is not necessary for subsequent launches of the game (unless you want in-game Russian language).

Go to the the command line, change directory to "Space Rangers HD A War Apart" and type:

LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8 LC_ALL=ru_RU.UTF-8 wine Rangers.exe

2. FPS in planetary battles was fixed by installing d9vk-0.40.1 (Vulkan-based implementation of Direct3D) via winetricks.

Note that d9vk requires 32-bit Vulkan drivers to be installed on your Linux host.

What was not tested

Did not have lengthy gameplay sessions yet (15 minutes max).
