I had to install the latest Java 8 JRE for Windows to run FR5 as it is a Java application per the system requirements on https://www.fr5.com.au/faqs. The FAQs explicitly mention that newer versions of Java are not yet supported.
The current Java installer does not work properly but by setting the Windows version to XP in winecfg, and running the installer with the silent install option as per the workaround from https://bugs.winehq.org/show_b...
I recommend the 64 bit version of Java as it will give FR5 access to more memory. Initially I only installed the 32 bit JRE and found that I was not able to import the PDF vectors from my house plan because it would need to much memory. With both 64 bit and 32 bit installed FR5 will automatically use the
