Online Mode and Story mode work without major hicups
What does not
Alt-Tabbing seems to cause the game to lag and it keeps lagging until you restart.
Workarounds
Setting the window mode to windowed borderless seemed to get rid of the issue.

I modified my wine registry before to fix other games before I played GTA, the most notable change was disabling window focus.
