Story Mode works fine, online difficult
by Victor F. on Wednesday June 3rd 2020, 12:39
Story mode works fine, install the epic games launcher using lutris, then just launch the game. Easy.

Online however, is a different story, the only way i got it to work was before starting GTA V was to use this command in the terminal:

until ps -C GTA5.exe >/dev/null; do sleep 1; echo "Waiting for GTA5.exe process..."; done; strace -p $(ps -C GTA5.exe -o pid=)

OBS! make sure to include PID at "pid=" in the end. For me it was 4778, but it's different for everyone. The game may lag abit when using that command so you can shut it off after loading by closing the terminal. What the command will do is it will wait until it detects that GTA V has started. Then it will run strace.
