What works
With wine32-development 5.5 Debian packages is running, seems all features are working, except Serial Port communication is not working at all!
With wine32/wine64 5.11 you can install the software, but after you start the program there is no window showing on the display.
What does not
With WineHQ 5.5:
If the COM port is not connected to any physical serial port (like
USB to RS232 adapter, or physical port), it receiving an message that it
can't detect LokProgrammer hardware.
If the COM port is connected to a physical serial port, then the software is entering into an infinite loop and is stuck.
Reported bug: https://bugs.winehq.org/show_b...
Is impossible to use the software to program anything with LokProgrammer hardware.
With WineHQ 5.11:
The program is not showing any window on the dispay.
Workarounds
What was not tested
WineHQ 5.5:
I couldn't find any solution to fix the problem. I've tried even using tty0tty driver to create a fake pair of serial ports and then use the socat to read/write from the pair to the physical interface, thinking that the program/wine has an issue with USB to RS232 convertors, but actually there is an issue in Wine that is not able to communicate correctly via Serial Port.
WineHQ 5.11:
Couldn't find out what is the reason why is not starting correctly.
