What works

Everything seems to work fine, except for some graphic glitches and crashes and the videos.

What does not

Water/Glow graphic glitches.

Game sometimes crashes, especially when loading game assets(loading screen, mid-game loading a building and during cutscenes when the camera view changes).

[NOTE] The crashes are not your typical ones, it's a total system hang that slows the entire system, required me to use Magic Sysrq + F (to free memory) to kill the process, jumping between tty's didn't work.

Video playback:

Just like with the demo from GOG v1.3, it's required to install the Windows Media Foundation patch from here:

Windows Media Foundation (mfplat) was installed—without this the game just shows a black screen after the first loading screen

What was not tested

Played until the boss battle against general Armquist, the rest wasn't tested.

Hardware tested

  • GPU: Nvidia
  • Driver: proprietary

Additional Comments

Wine fixed the problem with the dark shaders and I'm pretty sure that wine staging 6.0-6.1 were more stable and had less crashes.

This could be a problem with users without DXVK that use DX11, since it seems that DXVK users run this just fine.
