In order to make multiplayer working, you have to download the DirectPlay dlls on DirectPlayGames page and set up them in winecfg.

In order to play mp games, download DirectPlay dlls from DirectPlayGames page of the wiki, and set up them following the instructions.

Game will crash to desktop on occasion, especially if you haven't patched to v1.05a. These crashes are not (necessarily) bugs in Wine, as they also occur in Windows. Be sure to use the autosave feature.
