Maintainers: About Maintainership
What works
Basic gameplay,
Saving and loading,
Sound playback via pure ALSA,
Updates via official installers,
DLC and Mods.
What does not
Game performance is still not so good as in Windows, but I would say it has improved with the latest Wine.
The game hangs for 1-2 seconds when maids are changing their animation during dialog or yotogi.
Transitions between menus take more time than they should.
There are some problems that are present after clean installation, but have a solution:
Workarounds
What was not tested
Sound playback via PulseAudio and other sound servers (I believe it works),
Playing VR mode.
Hardware tested

Additional Comments
Since this is an international release, you don't need to launch the game with LANG=ja_JP.utf8. Just launch it normally instead.
Please note, that this version is not capable of linking to Custom Maid 3D2, so you won't be able to use its content here.
I didn't notice much difference between launching the game with WINEESYNC=1 environment variable and without it, but rumors say it has some benefits.
Pretty same about DXVK.

That was a real pain to make it work.
The game uses a DirectShow filter provided by msmpeg2vdec.dll to display background videos in Dance mode.
It is not present in Wine, so we need to use some alternative. The only viable variant is ffdshow.
First of all, do not use winetricks version - it is outdated and 32-bit and will not work with this game. Go to the official website and download the latest 64-bit version instead.
Launch the installer and follow its instructions. You can do some adjustments if you like, but the defaults are just fine.
Then go to ffdshow installation folder, open the terminal, and issue "wine regsvr32 ffdshow.ax". It should register the DLL. If you want to make adjustments to ffdshow configuration, issue "wine64 rundll32 ffdshow.ax configure".
Once you have done these steps, videos should display without problems.
The process of installing a DLC for this game in Wine is the same as in Windows, with some little exception.
In order to download a DLC from the official DLC Shop, you have to install wininet and urlmon with winetricks. Overwise the download will fail with the message "File size of the data server is abnormal".
In case you have got some standalone DLC installers (received via torrents, maybe), you can apply them as well, just launch their update.exe.
It can be tough to find a reliable source of mods for this game, but I'm kind enough to provide you the link to one of them. You can find it at the top of this page.
Since we are on Wine's AppDB, I will not give you instructions on how to install mods, because the process is the same as in Windows and there are plenty of such instructions on the Internet.
The only difference between Wine and Windows is that in Wine you also set an appropriate DLL override (for opengl32 if you are using Sybaris, and for winhttp if you are using BepInEx).
