What works
The installer has to be started from within the terminal. When executing the installer from within Nautilus you'll get the "called Tcl_Close on channel with refCount > 0" error.
What does not
The actual application does not want to start, because it requires
d3d12.dll. So in order for that to work, something like VKD3D would need
to be installed.
