What works
The tool starts up (but the basic functionality does not work)
What does not
Without patching Wine, the tool reports the error message "No Response" and no connection to the device is established.
This means that the basic functionality (data transfer) of the program does not work.
According to some forum entries in the Internet, the program also seems not to work on some Windows versions.
Workarounds
What was not tested
Saving other data than MIDI, user songs and user registration has not been tested.

Additional Comments
The problem was analyzed and it turned out that the program expects the "manufacturer ID" (wMid) and "product ID" (wPid) values of the MIDI in and out ports to have the value 0xFFFF.
After patching the corresponding Wine DLL accordingly, the program even worked more stable than on Windows 7 (where the program often failed).
