- Tested on wine-0.9.5 -
Game installation becomes frozen when InstallShield starts. To avoid
this problem, follow wiki.winehq instructions to install NativeDCOM:
$ WINEDLLOVERRIDES="ole32, oleaut32, rpcrt4=n" wine DCOM98.EXE
Use winecfg to apply native overrides for such DLLs (ole32, oleaut32,
Now installation process finish without any problem, only a trivial
warning about directx appears.
When I start the game for the first time, it hangs at the beginning
screens. That error disappears after a system reboot. I don't know
the reason why of this behavior (maybe the Windows restarting need),
although the wineboot command would have had the same effect, I think.
Then Bratz game starts and runs correctly.
What does not
InstallShield needs DCOM to work properly.
What was not tested
I only test three levels of the game :)
