Update 33.0.5 and the 64 bit client.
by Stefanescu A on Thursday May 26th 2022, 14:09
In Update 33.0.5 Lotro has made some changes to the 64 bit client. The client now placed in a x64 and it has some internal changes.

If you use the game just with the Direct3D from Wine the game loads just fine.

If DXVK is used the game may not load using the same configuration that worked until the update. The 64bit client contains a vulkan-1.dll in the x64 folder and that crashes the DXVK loading. Adding the vulkan-1 to the wine library config and setting it to "buildin" to load the library included with the wine(in staid of the one from the game folder) solves the problem and the game works again with dxvk.
