What works
Installation, starting the program (splash screen, menu). Navigation around the interface, 'options' and 'about' dialogs.
What does not
Opening an existing document shows a message box stating that "The specified template cannot be accessed. Please specify another template". Console output doesn't give any clue on the reason. Looking at those default template options, all of the template files are accessible by their corresponding file selection.
Creating a new document results in the application halting for a few seconds and then closing abruptly (but not crashing). More meaningful info can be found in the console output, suggesting that certain read operations on the filesystem failed.
