Everything ... Fedora Core 5 was released about 2 weeks ago. FC5 comes distributed with MySQL 5.0.18. There is no WINE included with the distribution - however WINE 0.9.1 is available from the Fedora 'extras' FTP-repository. Just type "su -c 'yum install wine' " from a command shell and the yum installer looks it up on the Internet and installs it. This WINE release is a few months old (binaries for RH and FC have not been built since then for some reason) but it works OK with SQLyog. Actually I would not recommend any newer WINE version than 0.9.8 for 'production' use with any LINUX as the WINE people have newly introduced a lot of highly experimental 3D graphics functions (and sound driver modules) that are not all 'polished' yet. Actually it is a little easier with FC5 than what I wrote here http://www.webyog.com/faq/31_71_en.html as the 'Core Fonts' are not really needed on FC5 + WINE 0.9.1 (They are on SuSE as the GUI is almost unreadable without them - but SQLyog displays beautifully on FC5 without). Also the native LINUX SJA ('SQLyog Job Agent') works on FC5.
What does not
The built-in help file is a windows .chm (compiled HTML). It does not open on WINE. However there are several other viewers available that can read the file.
What was not tested
Scheduling from inside SQLyog was not tested (will be as SQLyog 5.1 is released). However scheduling the SJA ('SQLyog Job Agent') with CRON works. This is true wheter you use the native LINUX version of the SJA and schedule like
Read about SQLyog and SuSE 10 for details on use and install.
