What works

Almost everything, export works, edit works.

WAV, FLAC, MP3 formats works out of the box

What does not

Files with m4a format doesn't work out of the box

Download the ffmpeg full build shared from, extract it, and move the files from the bin directory to the UserPlugins located in "C:\users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\REAPER\UserPlugins"

Then open reaper, do "Ctrl + P" (This opens the preferences section), go to Media > Video and in the Video decoder (where you can enter text) section just keep "ffmpeg". Click apply and it's ready. Now reaper can use m4a files

  • The built in VST plugins

Hardware tested

  • GPU: Nvidia
  • Driver: proprietary

Additional Comments

If you use "soda 7.0" (A wine runner used in the program called "Bottles" which is based on Proton) the vertical and horizontal bar are glitched, it uses the normal windows bars and not the Reaper ones
