Sometimes the application will not start at all, either crashing upon start or hanging in "KEmulator v1.0.3 Running...". Closing all Wine processes or rebooting the system will not always solve this. Other versions also has this issue. It is random and you have to try again later (maybe days) when this occurs. The crash message will be:

Exception in thread "main" org.eclipse.swt.SWTException: Graphic is disposed

Workarounds

  • Unable to load ZIP library


  1. Open winecfg
  2. Go to "Applications" tab
  3. Add java.exe
  4. Go to "Libraries"
  5. Add "zip.dll"
  6. Set it as "native, builtin"
  7. Apply


What was not tested

  • SWT-GDI+ mode
  • J2ME is a huge platform, so i couldn't test every MIDlet

Download it (Recommended version: Java Runtime Environment 6u45 x86)

KEmulator's built-in Java works, just run KEmulator.exe

Performance

KEmulator in Wine has better performance on JRE 1.6
