Ketarin did work over wine, but now (2021-11-16) hangs part-way through an update session. When it hangs, it no longer repaints the screen, but the control menu from the icon at the top-left opens, and items such as Move and Resize still work.
To install, unpack the zip file into a folder accessible to the WINE prefix, such as
Program runs, picks up database of software installers to keep updated, steps through them and updates any that have been updated by their developers.
Seems to work properly.
What does not
If you want to run a script before, during or after download, you may need to adapt the script to the WINE environment and the underlying Linux system. I do not use this facility even on Windows, so I have not tested it.
Make a launch script that contains
If you want to specify where Ketarin should find and maintain its database of program installers to download, add something like this to the launch script:

The ability that Ketarin provides to run a script before, during or after download of a program installer.
I think it would still work for updating 10 or 20 installers before the hang would happen.
