The latest version of usbip for windows is available here
under "wine cmd" the following command
usbip.exe list -r
show the available usb devices.
What does not
Trying to attach a remote USB device fails with the following error :
C:\local\usbip-win-0.3.5>usbip.exe attach -r
usbip: error: vhci driver is not loaded

Other steps in the installation procedure fail as well, it is not clear which ofthem is really needed.
The first steps at the installation are
and these do not run. But these should not be necessary anyway when using wine, we do not use the thrust chain from M$. But then when trying to run the installer.
The interesting part starts with this command
wine usbip.exe install
it fails with this error.
usbip: error: "USBIP Test" certificate not found. Please install first!
non of that is necesary.
What was not tested
access to the remote usb device was not tested.
