Bug Fixes: The following bugs have been fixed.

- Fixed an issue where merging layers with the Layer menu > Combine selected layers or by Ctrl + clicking thumbnails in the Layer palette, layers would be shown in the merged layer even if hidden on the Timeline palette or with clipping layers.
- Fixed an issue where when using Layer > Convert layer or Combine selected layers would apply the blending mode of layer folders that weren’t selected.
- Fixed a bug where pen pressure applied in dragging an item is applied to the cursor during the entire action when the Change brush cursor setting in Preferences > Cursor details is set to Change size, thickness & direction when pen is hovering.
- Fixed an issue where PNG file would sometimes not be imported at the correct resolution.
- Fixed an issue where text input fields in some dialogs could not be typed in.
- Fixed an issue where the near plane of 3D object materials such as backgrounds would appear far from the camera when the Clipping planes was set to Set automatically when resetting camera in the Rendering settings dialog box.
- Display may become unstable when launching Clip Studio Paint if multiple Color Slider palette tabs are displayed side by side.
- (Windows/macOS/iPad/Galaxy/Android/Chromebook) Fixed an issue on PC or tablet devices where if all the open canvas tabs could not fit in the width of the Canvas window, switching the active canvas would move the tab to the right end.
- (Windows/macOS/iPad/Galaxy/Android/Chromebook) Fixed a bug on Windows and tablet devices that allowed the height of the palette dock to be changed even if Lock palette height is enabled.
- (Windows) Fixed an issue where touch gestures would not work correctly after closing the Help menu > About CLIP STUDIO PAINT screen.
- (iPad) Fixed a bug that caused a lag when using the three-finger tap gesture.
- (Windows) Buttons including the login and cloud button did not appear in the menu bar at the top of the Clip Studio launcher.

What works

Can get through installer, but fails to connect to activation server, and all login attempts fail with wrong username/password. Tested login in a browser and on windows VM, works fine.

The tutorial loads, but attempting to exit the tutorial and use the program crashes the client. It was already set up in my windows VM, so I'm unsure if this issue exists in windows as well.

HOWTO

This workaround is no longer needed post version 1.11.8 as turning off the internet connection will create a link for offline registration at the bottom of the submission window.

This how-to application installation and license registration workaround assumes the user has already installed wine and winetricks.

If you are familiar with the command line feel free to disregard mentions of using the GUI.

Install version 1.5.4 or 1.9.11 (do not use 1.10.12 as it also requires this step) available on Clip Studios official older version download page.
- Launch the winetricks GUI to create a new 64bit prefix or ensure you're in the correct 64bit prefix. DO NOT run the installer .exe by double clicking and launching with wine. Doing so will place the program in the default wine prefix. You do not want Clip Studio in the default wine prefix.
- In the winetricks GUI select 'run uninstaller' to open add/remove programs. Click on the install button and run the installer .exe for 1.5.4 or 1.9.11
- Close the winetricks GUI and launch Clip Studio
- Search for offline/manual registration in the Clip Studio launcher by clicking on the gear icon and locating the license/registration option in the drop down menu.
- Complete the license registration via the provided web page address link, account log-in and serial number confirmation.
- Follow any web page links for issues with (device limit amount reached) to deactivate other licenses if needed.
- Completely close all Clip Studio programs once finished!
Install/upgrade to the latest download version of Clip Studio
- Launch the winetricks GUI again and select the prefix you installed Clip Studio in.
- In the winetricks GUI select 'run uninstaller' to open add/remove programs. Click on the install button and run the installer .exe for the latest download version.
- Close the winetricks GUI and launch Clip Studio. Clip Studio will ask for you to wait a moment while it attempts to connect to the internet to check the registration.
- You will then be prompted with another manual license registration.
- The prompt only launches if you're upgrading from a previous licensed version. Otherwise Clip Studio will insist you use the account log-in that currently doesn't function and thus prevents license registration.
- You are still able to use the Free version and Free Pro/EX trial for 3 months regardless of registration.
- Complete the license registration via the provided web page address link, account log-in and serial number confirmation.
- Follow any web page links for issues with (device limit amount reached) to deactivate other licenses if needed.
Repeat step 2 for future updates/upgrades

HOWTO Register License

To complete license registration:

Disconnect (turn off) Internet.
Open CSP select "I already have a License."
Look for "Register Offline" link at bottom of window.
Reconnect Internet or use different device.
Use provided website address in serial number authorization screen to complete registration.

This is not for activation or monthly codes.
