This is a revival by fans of the original game on PC in 2020, after the vendor decided to abandon the PC version of the game and shutdown the official PC servers. The hawakening.com version uses an original non-steam version of the game client along with a modification of a single text configuration file to redirect the login validation to the hawakening.com servers. The player has to create a free account on hawakening.com in order to play this version. The original real-money shop is not available and new accounts are offered a free stash of in-game currency instead, enough to buy many things.

When setting the game to fullscreen, 'Grab the mouse pointer in fullscreen apps' has to be enabled in winecfg to avoid being locked to a 90� rotation range with the mouse.
