Installer works fine
The game itself works after some fiddling using the in-built software 3d driver. This limits you to a resolution of 640x480, but you can play.
What I have done: Install the game with the SETUP.EXE from CD. I chose a full installation, but it might work with a minimal one, too. When the setup is about to finish, uncheck the "run configuration" box. Then start Dethkarz - it will show you a loading screen, but it hangs. Press Escape and re-start it. Now the loading screen is still in place, but if you do an Alt+Tab, you will see that the graphics driver selection window is behind the splash screen. There is no way (not with wine; it works in cedega) to get it to the top, so you have to use the Tab key to navigate the controls: first, press Tab twice to get to the driver selection. Press Alt+Arrow down to show the driver list. Choose the in-built software driver, press return. Then Tab again, again Alt+Arrow down to choose the resolution. Unfortunately, the maximum is only 640x480. Press return to select that, press Tab a last time and Return. The game will crash :)
Now start the game a last time. The loading screen will appear, then it will look distorted and some sound comes - that's the melbourne house splash. Press Escape to skip it, and you're in the game.
If you chose the wrong driver: Open the .wine/system.reg and search for "Deth". There is a key called "B3D_DeviceInfo". Just remove it and start driver selection again.
