Three editions were installed this year on my system.

2021 Federal 1040 Editions

2021 All States Editions

2021 Federal 1120S Editions

This is my first tax season 100% Linux with no Windows dual boot. I am running Mint 20.3 with the Cinnamon Desktop. I was able to install, open and run Tax Act for the most part in WINE. However, some of the drop-down menus did not populate correctly so I was unable to finish the return and fully process an e-file in WINE. If there is a dev willing to work on this I am willing to playtest and report on my system.

What works

I was not able to test through an e-file. But installation, registration, the addition of states, and creating clients all worked 100%.

What does not

Preparation of a form was hindered by some, not all, state address dropdowns not populating correctly so I could not enter a complete mailing address in some required areas.

What was not tested

The E-file function was not tested, the print function was tested and worked fine, but the system has a fail-safe that will not allow an incomplete return to e-file

Hardware tested

  • GPU: AMD
  • Driver: open source
