I was fortunate enough to have a Manjaro laptop with a slightly older version of Wine installed.
This seems to be the latest version of Wine that doesn't have the regression.
I initially thought it was Wine-Mono that had the regression, however downgrading to 7.2.0 didn't seem to change anything on 7.19/7.20, so this might actually be a Wine issue
