Well, the game needs to be set to "Windows 98" nowadays but this can be easily done with "winecfg".

HOWTO
  • Set the Windows version to Windows 98 to make the installer run (can be done with winecfg)
  • When entering the main menu for the first time, the screen may be black. Switch to another program (Alt + Tab) and then back to the game, and it should display fine
