What works

• Installation works  

• Communication with the device over serial/usb interface is working, (switching between current-clamp and voltage clamp mode, of both channels)

What does not

Installer does not run in default (win7) mode.

Workarounds

winecfg need to be set to WinXP or Windows 2003. The installer does not install the executables with later versions.Moreover, serial/USB interace need to accessable to the user, therefore the user is added to the group "dialout". I used:

   winecfg winxp    

   addgroup $(whoami) dialout

When starting the software, a serial interface (COM#:) need to be selected. The identification of the correct interface does not always work automatically, and one might need to try different ones. In my case, COM5: was the one I had to use.

Once set up, everything seems to work as expected
