What works

All main features are working fine on Wine. Tests were done on Ubuntu 22.04, 20.04, and 18.0,4 and on MacOS via Crossover installation. All known issues are solved,There is just a few remaining issues listed below which are not blocking for the diffusion, and have been deactivated.

What does not

- The Orientation of the chart other than North Up doesn't work, I deactivated the function. This seems to be related to a bug in Wine on the SetWorldTransform function: https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36815

-The Night/Day display crashes the application and has been deactivated.

Workarounds

There is a small issue regarding the documentation which is mostly in html, and that uses the default installed browser. It appears that Ubuntu 22.04 comes with Firefox installed as a SNAP package, and it cannot access the files inside the .wine folder. The recommended workaround is to install the APT version of Firefox. For those who want to stay with the SNAP package, you can move the documentation manually to an accessible folder and set a registry key to indicate it's location, but this is kind of too technical for the end user, and instructions will only be given on demand. As an alternative, the documentation is also available online

Wayland: ScanNav works fine with Wayland for most functionalities. The only detected issue is related to moving/resizing the toolbars where the help frame is not displayed (It works but you manipulate blind). I nevertheless recommend to deactivate Wayland and switch to X11, especially in order to get support via AnyDesk, VNC, or other remote control software that do not work with Wayland, This of course only until those issues with Wayland are fixed.

What was not tested

Not yet tested on ChromeOS, but should be ok,  especially as ScanNav runs on very small configurations.

Additional Comments

Rated Gold due to small workarounds listed above, but could be listed as Platinum, as it is fully functional.

Regarding the hardware prerequisites listed below, there is no dependency on Graphic boards.

Operating system is also not limited to Ubuntu, although it was the main testing platform.
