What works
Once I worked around the installation and activation quirks, everything ran just fine in both standalone mode and as a VST3 using yabridge:
https://github.com/robbert-vdh...
What does not
Online authorization does not work.
The "Request Authorization" button opens
the wrong URL - it opens "rhurltemp.html" as a URL instead of using
the contents of the "rhurltemp.html" file.
Installation does not work.
Omnisphere is sold on retail USB flash drives containing the program
data but uses an installer file that is downloaded from their website.
The Part 1 installer would fail for me because it was unable to detect the
retail Omnisphere drive - even though it was mounted as a user and
configured as the "E:" drive in "winecfg".
Workarounds
I was able to workaround the installation issue by copying an existing installation that was installed
on a Windows machine. I copied the C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics folder
as well as the VST plugins themselves in C:\Program Files\Common
Files\VST3 to the wineprefix that I had attempted to use the installer
with.
In order to authorize the software, I needed to use the offline
authorization process.
What was not tested
I did not test any hardware integration (other than a standard MIDI controller).

Additional Comments
Everything stated in this review applies to both Trillian and Keyscape which are very closely related and based on the same STEAM engine.
