What does not

Using the drop-down menus shows black drop-downs and causes the GUI to become unresponsive, rendering it unusable until restart.

  • Toggle the randomizers to select keys and chords
  • Avoid interacting with drop-down menus

Additional Comments

Similar caveats exist for the wine version that ships with Ubuntu (5.0-3ubuntu1), however any drop down menus would cause a crash instead. With 5.0-3ubuntu1 , debugging suggested missing functionality in uxtheme.dll . uxtheme implementation may be a source of issues in the staging version as well.
