Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation

What works

Installation, Setup, Run, Save game, everything.

Just tested the first chapter "Angkor Wat".

What does not

Bug 31260 "Tomb Raider 4 Broken Lighting" still exists. 

Lighting seems to be broken in Tomb Raider 4; everything is fully lit.

Workarounds

I use a new wineprefix:

myuser@mylaptop:~$ WINEPREFIX=~/.wine-Tomb4 winecfg

In "Windows Version" choose "Windows XP"

In Graphics Tab, select Emulate a Virtual Desktop (800x600)

In Terminal go to the CDROM and Install using autorun.exe:

myuser@mylaptop:~$ cd /media/myuser/TLRUK

myuser@mylaptop:~$ WINEPREFIX=~/.wine-Tomb4 wine autorun.exe

After installation update the tomb4.exe file with a patch for Windows XP (https://www.tombraiderchronicl...)

After patch the tomb4.exe go to program folder in Terminal:

myuser@mylaptop:~$ cd /home/myuser/.wine-Tomb4/drive_c/Program\ Files\ \(x86\)/Core\ Design/Tomb\ Raider\ -\ The\ Last\ Revelation

And run the patched tomb4.exe:

myuser@mylaptop:~$ WINEPREFIX=~/.wine-Tomb4 wine tomb4.exe

In the Tomb Raider 4 Setup a full screen black window impedes you to change the setup window. Take the black window from the title bar and move it where it don't bothers you.

Once it is working, you can change the resolution using winecfg, and running again the Tomb Raider Setup.

What was not tested

The full game, until the end.
