The test results you have selected are very old and may not represent the current state of Wine.
Selected Test Results (selected in 'Test Results' table below)
Everything I tested, including exporting single slices.
What does not
File associations do not work by default, they can be fixed as follows:
edit the file ~/.local/share/applications/wine-extension-png.desktop (for example) change this line: Exec=wine start /ProgIDOpen pngfile %f to this: Exec=wine start /ProgIDOpen Fireworks.Doc %f
Nothing with the application itself as far as I can tell.
What was not tested
Not much that I know of.
This thing is great! I had lots of problems with MX 2004, but 8 works great.
As a side note, I have some problems with nvidia drivers with this application, but that happens with other apps also, not specific to this.
I rated this "Platinum" even though the file associations don't work out of the box, because I feel that those aren't really 'part' of the program itself, but it's integration in the OS, and I don't really understand all about how they work anyway :D.
All in all, a great application.
you will need to change ~user~ to you username, eg madnessred. If you are unsure please look at the bottom of this post for an alternative mthod to find it out.
2 - Once you have got your launcher details right click on a png file, slect "Open with > Open with other application"
3 - Where it says "|> Use a custom command", click that
4 - A box will appear, in that paste the custom launcher information and press open. Now fireworks will open with that file. Clsoe fireworks. Now when you double lick to open a png it will open with fireowrks.
How to find out your fireworks launcher information
1 - Right click on the fireworks icon in the Applications Menu (For me Applications > Wine > Programs > Macromedia > Macromedia Fireworks 8
2 - Select add launcher to desktop
3 - Right click on the Fireworks Icon, select properties, select the launcher tab.
4 - Where it says command, copy the text from that box, that is you launcher information.
