Everything! The game runs well and has no graphical issues.
What does not
If you leave ticked the option "Allow the window manager to decorate the windows" in winecfg then V-Rally 2: Expert Edition will hang at a screen with the alt+tab window.
When attempting to start V-Rally 2 Expert Edition results in "No disc inserted" window appearing, a fix is to download a no-cd patch
- ALT + TAB doesn't work at all, in order to see your desktop again you need to exit the graphical environment. (Even ALT + Tabbing in a native Windows installation makes the game crash)
- Configuration utility has issues with operating systems above Windows 98 SE, the game runs fine in later operating systems though.
- Changing the aspect ratio from 4:3 to 16:9 in the settings in-game doesn't work in full screen.
- Music in order to play, the game CD must be in your drive.
What was not tested
- Network play
- Controller input
The only option that needs to be changed in winecfg is the windows version and the option in the "Graphics" tab, untick: "Allow the window manager to decorate the windows" in winecfg from the terminal. If you want to run the "Vrally2setup.exe" you must change the compatibility in winecfg to Windows 95/98 To get the music to play while you are racing you have to run the configuration utility first and set your sound level.
